About us
The success of the Malaysian University Robot Competitions series, including MURoC 2010, MURoC 2011, MURoC 2012, MIRoC 2013, MIRoC 2014, U-ROCK 2018, and the most recent U-ROCK 2019, has proven that research related to robotic technology remains a primary agenda in every engineering-based higher educational institution (IPT). During that time, more than 30 teams from 16 IPTs participated throughout the competitions.
Over nearly 13 years of participation in this robot competition, students, academic staff, and researchers have been able to create a wide range of highly advanced robot designs using the latest technology. Furthermore, this competition not only showcases robot designs but also contributes to the advancement of knowledge in the field of robotics through presentations and demonstrations by each participating team.
Robot development is also evaluated from the perspectives of research, innovation, and the creativity of students in creating competitive and advanced robots by applying the latest technology, in line with the TVET program to support the national agenda.
In line with the current Industrial Revolution 4.0 developments and the response received during the U-ROCK 2018 and U-ROCK 2019, 2022 events, UniMAP is once again keen to organize the competition in 2023. Therefore, this edition retains its name as University Robot Competitions: Kingdom of Champions – UROCK2023.
